Sorry

Writing 101 Day 5: Be Brief
Today’s Prompt: You stumble upon a random letter on the path.
Today’s twist: Approach this post in as few words as possible.

“Sorry.”

The letters seem to jump out of the otherwise blank paper. I turn it over. Nothing else. Just that one word. A word that we find difficult to say because it never is our fault. It always is someone else’s.

I look around. Nobody but me. Guess whoever wrote this realized it’s not HIS fault. I crumpled the paper in my hand and tossed it in the bin.
